The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 33-point-44 points, or one-point-13 percent, on Thursday, ending the day at two-thousand-920-point-53.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 29-point-32 points, or two-point-90 percent, to close at 980-point-30.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-201 won.
